SteelSeries Configuration

If you only own a SteelSeries keyboard, save your configuration in an on-board profile then turn off the lighting via SteelSeries Key + C. Turning off the lighting in the "Prism" tab won't work, as the default colors will load when the app isn't opened (this tip is for users who don't want the app to run in the background).

Sonar Presets

Pre-configured Sonar profiles for voice clarity (MIC) and balanced game / media audio (MEDIA). Clicking a link opens SteelSeries GG and imports the preset directly.

Requirement

SteelSeries GG with the Sonar module installed and enabled. This overrides the Sonar: Off recommendation above - pick one path based on whether you want software audio mixing.

  • MIC - microphone preset (clean voice pickup, noise gate tuned for streaming and calls): Import in Sonar

  • MEDIA - speakers and headphones preset (balanced EQ for games, music, and chat): Import in Sonar

After import, the presets appear under the Mic and Media tabs in Sonar and can be selected from the routing panel.
